A: It uses both methods. It works fine without server, but it will connect to server automatically if you install server in your network. So the server is NOT necessary, but it provide some extra features: authorization, offline messages and subnets compatibility.

A: You don't have to add them. Winpopup automatically detects all the users that are currently running Winpopup LAN Messenger on their computers. Everyone who has Winpopup LAN Messenger installed and running will appear on the recipients list automatically.
Q: We have a network of N people - and one of them is continually out of contact - we can see him on the contact list but when we send him a message a message comes upthat no connection can be made - he can send us messages and quite often after he sends us a message we can then send him a message but after a short time he goes out of contact again?
